Builder sues Virginia couple for $2.4 million after posting a sign about the poor quality.

A couple who built a home in Chesterfield, just outside of Richmond, Virginia are sued by the builder after posting a sign warning onlookers that the neighboring home was built by the same builder, N&H General Constructions. The couple posted a sign on their porch listing alleged deficiencies at their house in a diy public review. The builder alleges that the Certificate of Occupancy constitutes proof of sound construction, but Certificates of Occupancy state that they are not guarantees that all violations have been found. The builder proceeded with a $2.4 million dollar lawsuit alleging defamation. No telling if the anti-slap laws will be enlisted in defense of the couple's right to free speech.
